After 39 years there is still room for something new. Two things this year, first a team not showing up which has never happened, and secondly a runner who is 32 weeks pregnant. We had an interesting debate as to how much additional correction needed to be applied in this case.
Thanks as usual to the helpers, Rob Henderson, Daniel Muenstermann and Alisdair Knox. Also a big thanks to the people who collected in the flags so quickly that I was back in my office by 2pm.
Congratulations of course also go to the prize winners, some familiar names again this year. LEC Runners picked up the prize for the "Age and Gender Corrected" time for an incredible seventh year in a row. Quite remarkable. Maths and Stats won "just" two prizes this year, their open team "flying Farah" and their Mixed team "energetic Ennis-Hill" were both succesful. The Ladies record was smashed for a second year in a row, this time by "First ADE" in a time of 16:10. Finally a special prize was awarded for rungineers.
Looks like we were lucky with the weather, considering the downpour there is now, 2 hours after the race!
