Well the first running on the new course can be marked down as a success I feel. After the rain of recent days which made it easy to get the stakes in, we had perfect weather for running today. Although I reckon the course is very close to the same length as the old one ,the times seem to be about a minute faster. Thanks to everyone for competing and congratulations to the prize winners, Maths&Stats(XY)^4,LEC latecomers and Maths&Stats(XX)^2(XY)^2. No ladies team this year but a special mention is needed for team 10, (Doctor) Anthony Ross who decided about an hour before the start of the race to enter and run it as a team of one. He managed a very respectable time as well. He must still have had some adrenalin from his recent succesful PhD viva. Thanks to the road marshalls Ian Bailey and Laura Kormos for keeping everyone safe , and my fellow committee member Rob Henderson. Also many thanks to Neils Laustsen for helping to collect stuff in at the end.
