It’s just hollow boilerplate stuff; very typical of millenials–assholes who grew up clicking on bullshit instead of playing in the woods. Here’s my take on him. I could be wrong. —A young dude who married too early, likely married an American woman who is PROGRAMMED TO SEEK OUT AND EXTINGUISH ANYTHING THAT MAKES HIM HAPPY—and the poor idiot is starting to feel like he made the mistake of a lifetime (which he has). In an attempt to quash these surging feelings of regret he has to; a. Insist that marrying in the ‘normal’ time window is the ONLY option and that anyone who doesn’t is not a man. b. Share his decisions and the reasoning behind them and seek validation for it all. c. Insist that ‘no one is happy’ who chose otherwise (remained single). How the hell can he speak for everyone like that? Of course he can’t. But by saying this he’s simply seeking to reinforce his own decision (that he is very insecure with himself about-either openly or subconsciously.) Once again, when you make a decision that you know is right then you don’t have to do all of this maintenance work on it, like he’s doing here. One of my best friends is the opposite of me. He married young, two kids, baseball, great wife etc. All that. I don’t want to call him blue pill because that’s a bit derogatory and he’s just not that guy. He never bugs me about manning up, marriage etc. As far as he has ever gone is, ‘Man, I hope you’re happy.’ That’s how I know that HE’S HAPPY and in a good marriage. He doesn’t need me to be like him. He doesn’t need the validation like this clown does. He just hopes I’m happy with my own decisions. Anyone insisting that other people do what they have done is just begging for some much needed reassurance. Or that person is upset that you’ve been able to skip out on the miseries that they made for themselves (by never second guessing tired and outdated paradigms.)
